Welcome!
You are staying in a house that has stood for over two centuries. Villa Sakis is a guest cottage within a working farmstead in Bergslagen, a region shaped by iron, forest, and water. The building has been in continuous use since the early 1800s and the landscape around it has changed very little since.
We have done our best to make it comfortable without stripping away what makes it interesting. The wallpapers are original. The pine floors creak in the right places. The kitchen has been updated but kept in the spirit of the house. We hope you find it as restorative as we do.
This guide covers everything you need: how to arrive, how to use the property, what is nearby, and how to reach us. Read it once, keep it handy, and contact us at any point if something is unclear or needs attention.
My name is Christian. I live on the farmstead with my wife Anna and our two children and we are usually close by.
I run operations across a number of countries professionally, which means I value things that work properly and when something does not, I want to know so I can fix it. If anything about your stay is not right, please tell me directly rather than waiting until you leave.
