The nearest shops are in Caversham centre, around 0.4-0.5 miles away, including Waitrose, Iceland, Tesco Express, cafés, takeaways and local services. Reading town centre is also within easy walking distance and offers a wider choice of shops, restaurants and supermarkets.
Recommended local places to visit include the Thames riverside walks, Christchurch Meadows and Caversham Court Gardens, all within easy reach of the property. The area is good for relaxed local walks, especially along the River Thames towards Reading Bridge, Caversham Bridge and the Christchurch Bridge footbridge. Christchurch Meadows is a popular riverside green space with open lawns, river views, tennis courts, a playground and summer paddling pool.
Reading Station is approximately 0.5 miles away, around a 10-15 minute walk. Reading has excellent transport links, with fast direct trains to London Paddington in around 23 minutes, Heathrow and Gatwick Airports are also easily accessible.
