About this cottage rental
One of three rustic barn conversions set within the grounds of an ancient farmhouse dating back to the 16th century, the farmland is surrounded by countryside and enjoys scenic views across to Skirrid Mountain. A great base for exploring the beautiful Usk and Wye Valleys, the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons, there are also a wealth of historic buildings and places of interest to visit nearby including Blaenavon World Heritage Site (10 miles), Llanthony Priory (11 miles), Raglan Castle (11 Miles). The traditional market towns of Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Monmouth are all within 12 miles. And for foodies, there is a great selection of pubs and restaurants close by showcasing menus created with seasonal local produce. Annual events worth visiting include the Abergavenny Food Festival, Hay Book Festival, and Brecon Jazz Festival.
Enjoying a rural location within an old farmyard setting, the private entrance of this property offers a space where you can leave coats and boots after a day of exploring. The rustic charm of this accommodation remains yet it has been sympathetically restored with comfortable furnishings. An open-plan living space is perfect for a small family, offering two sofas where you can relax in the evening and watch the Smart TV, plus a dining table perfect for some games. You can serve up dinner here too, which will have been prepared in the small and well-equipped kitchen. Guests have the choice of two bedrooms, a double bedroom and a bunk bedroom that is suitable for children only. A bathroom completes the interior, and there is a shared laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers which is available on request.
Outside, you can dine alfresco in the shared patio area with picnic tables and a BBQ. There is an indoor swimming pool to share (open all year round), and you can soak away your troubles in the shared hot tub (booking system in place for private use). Let the kids loose in the outdoor children’s play area or get competitive in the games room with its pool table and table tennis table.
