Nearby Tansley village is nestled on the edge of the Peak District next to the market town of Matlock. Nearby Bakewell, Chatsworth House and Matlock Bath, all easily accessible by car. There are lovely country walks from the property, the ideal base for those who enjoy the outdoors and plenty of off-road cycling tracks for those who like exploring on two wheels. Matlock has a variety of shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, pubs, weekly market and parks. Matlock Bath is a well-known resort on the River Derwent, visit popular Heights of Abraham cable cars, enjoy fish and chips, and numerous entertainments throughout the year. The Matlock Bath illuminations and firework display are especially popular in autumn bringing in the crowds and lighting up the sky.
