About this cottage rental
Situated very close to the harbour front, this property is within easy reach of its bars and cafes. For those looking to do a spot of retail therapy while away, there is also a good selection of independent shops and galleries to explore. The harbour itself boasts boating and fishing trips for discovering the coastline from the water, together with a lively fish market for cosy nights in.
On the ground floor, the good-sized lounge, exposed brickwork, a window seat, a stocked bookcase and feature fireplace with wood burning stove. This is a cosy and quaint room for cuddling up in front of the Smart TV or listening to music using the Bluetooth speaker. Continue into the compact yet thoughtfully designed kitchen, which features pendant lighting, exposed beams and brickwork with built-in kitchen cupboards. Here you will find a fridge with an ice compartment , gas oven, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, iron and ironing board. Steep winding stairs lead up to the first floor and a twin bedroom with bedside table, window seat and plenty of hanging space along with a chest of drawers. The bathroom has a walk-in shower, WC and wash basin. Further steep winding stairs lead up to the second floor where the master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, occasional chair, wooden flooring, chest of drawers, and fantastic feature oval bath tub. On this floor, there is a second bathroom with walk-in shower, WC and wash basin together with a utility cupboard to house the washing machine and tumble dryer.
Step outside from the kitchen where steep stone shared steps lead up to a two separate private decked terraces, you will find a bistro set for enjoying al fresco meals and further steps leading up to a wonderful tropical-style decked garden with real banana tree, vines, decking and additional seating. There is free roadside parking available on nearby roads. Alternatively you can purchase a parking permit online from Torbay Council, to be used in the nearby Oxen Cove car park, which is 5-10 minute level walk along the harbour from the cottage
