Water enthusiasts can indulge their passion at Windermere and Coniston lakes, a mere 8-mile drive, or opt for a refreshing swim amidst the scenic splendour of High Dam in the nearby village of Finsthwaite (6 miles). The idyllic village of Hawkshead, a short 4-mile jaunt away, beckons visitors to savour local brews and artisanal preserves.
