Nestled in the charming village of Normanby, this newly renovated Grade II Listed cottage is an excellent base for couples, friends, or families seeking a rural North Yorkshire escape. Start your stay with a visit to the village pub for a refreshing drink and a hearty meal. Food lovers will enjoy a trip to nearby Malton (8.5 miles), a bustling market town filled with independent cafes, restaurants, and artisan shops. For a day of history and grandeur, Castle Howard (10 miles) offers stunning architecture, beautiful gardens, and plenty to explore. Train enthusiasts will love the North Yorkshire Moors Railway at Pickering (5 miles). Hop aboard a steam train all the way to Whitby (26 miles) for a classic seaside day out. Nature and walking enthusiasts can explore the North York Moors, while those seeking a mix of culture and history can venture 25 miles to the medieval city of York.
Enter through the rear door and head into the kitchen which comes well equipped, ready for whipping up everything from hearty breakfasts to gourmet dinners. Straight across the hall, the lounge is the heart of the home. With a welcoming wood burner and a 75" Smart TV with Netflix, it’s the ideal place to unwind, watch a movie, or simply sit back after a day exploring. At the back of the house, you’ll find a handy utility room with a washing machine, plus a shower and WC for added convenience. Upstairs, the first floor continues to impress. There are two king-size bedrooms, both boasting original features, high ceilings, and plenty of space. The gleaming family bathroom rounds off the home.
Step outside and you’ll discover a lovely patio area with a table and chairs beneath a pergola for al fresco dining. A private hot tub awaits, where you can soak under the stars and sip a cool drink after a day of exploration. Parking for two cars is provided, so you can come and go with ease.
