About this cottage rental
Step into a world of timeless charm as you enter this cosy cottage, a place filled with character that effortlessly transports you back in time. The heart of the home is the living/dining room, where exposed beams, a traditional brick floor, and a wood burner create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here, you can relish evenings by the fire, watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV or immersing yourself in a good book. A few steps away, the well-equipped kitchen awaits, providing everything you need to whip up delicious meals, ensuring your stay is comfortable and convenient. Completing this floor is the downstairs bathroom, offering a place to unwind after a day of exploration. Ascending to the first floor, you'll find two individual bedrooms. The first features a cosy double bed, and it's in this room that the cottage's rich history truly comes to life, with a fascinating wig cupboard, ornate dark wooden wall panelling and feature fireplace. Original writing on the wall, dating back to 1756, adds to the cottage's historical charm, and a small section of glass showcases the scratched inscription of John Whitworth, a reminder of days long past. The second bedroom offers a raised single bed, suitable for a child. Cottage-style steep and narrow stairs lead to the second floor, where you'll discover a unique and characterful bedroom with three single beds. This space adds to the cottage's uniqueness and is illuminated by a Velux window adorned with charming sloping ceilings.
Stepping outside, a front patio welcomes you with a table and chairs, providing an ideal spot to enjoy the fresh air and perhaps a meal or tea.
