About this cottage rental
This former farm steading oozes romance and comfort. The single story cottage is the perfect escape for a couple in search of quiet, activity and beauty. The village of Rothbury attracts visitors from all over the world during the year and offers a fantastic range of great pubs, cafes, independent shops, arts and crafts, and a number of events including the Walking Festival in June and the Music Festival in July. A stay at this cottage means you are perfectly placed to visit all the tourist hotspots, including The Simonside ills, The Cheviots, The Northumberland National park, Alnwick Castle, Cragside Hall and Gardens and the glorious seaside villages of Bamburgh, Alnmouth and Seahouses. Golfing fans will also be pleased to know there is a course close by.
The property has the perfect blend of traditional decor and tasteful, designer touches. The elegant open-plan lounge and dining room include two comfortable sofas, a cosy wood burner, perfect for romantic evenings and a Smart TV. The double-glazed side window offer you a stunning view of the River Coquet and valley. The dining area seats two perfectly for those romantic dinners and the kitchen is fully equipped with fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, microwave, washing machine and Alexa music player. There is also a convenient utility room located on the ground floor which offers other handy household items. In the bedroom, you'll be greeted with an inviting sleigh-style, king-size bed with a wardrobe, chest of drawers/dressing table and hairdryer. The bedroom also offers an en-suite bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and WC.
Outside there is a small, paved patio area at the front of the cottage featuring a bistro table and chairs which is ideal for al fresco dining on a warm evening. There is parking for one car off-road to the rear of the cottage in the communal parking area.
