Tucked away in peaceful forest surroundings yet just half a mile from the famous book town of Hay-on-Wye, this cosy retreat is ideal for couples, families or friends looking for a unique stay in Mid Wales. The location offers the best of both worlds, surrounded by tranquil countryside with excellent walking and cycling routes from the doorstep, rivers for paddling or canoeing nearby, and the dramatic landscapes of the Black Mountains within easy reach. Spend your days browsing Hay’s independent bookshops, visiting Hay Castle, enjoying local cafés, or exploring the Brecon Beacons’ renowned hiking trails and outdoor activities including rafting, wild swimming and gorge walking.
Designed to blend comfort with nature, this stylish glamping pod features a bright open-plan living space with woodland views through large sliding doors. The well-equipped galley kitchen includes a gas hob, air fryer, fridge, small freezer and all the essentials for self-catering breaks, whether preparing hearty breakfasts before a hike or relaxed evening meals. After a day exploring, unwind beside the wood burner in the cosy lounge area, watch the surrounding wildlife, or simply enjoy the peaceful forest setting. Natural wood finishes, colourful touches and comfortable seating create a warm, welcoming atmosphere all year round. The accommodation includes two flexible zip-and-link bedrooms which can be arranged as doubles or twins, making the pod suitable for couples, families or small groups. Large feature windows bring in natural light and calming views of the surrounding trees, enhancing the sense of escape.
Outside, guests can enjoy woodland walks straight from the site, wildlife spotting, and al fresco dining with the BBQ area nestled within the woods, perfect for summer evenings under the stars.
