About this cottage rental
The peaceful, rural village of Middlemarsh is the ideal choice for those seeking relaxation as well as easy access to local attractions. Nearby Sherborne is rich in history and home to an Abbey, which dates to Saxon times, two castles and renowned schools. Its pretty centre has a great range of independent shops, ideal for an afternoon spent browsing. Dorset’s county town, Dorchester, is 11 miles to the south and has two cinemas, plus a long high street lined with numerous coffee bars, shops and eateries. This part of rural Dorset has many picturesque walks and cycle routes to enjoy, taking in landmarks such as the Cerne Abbas Giant, which is carved into the chalk hillside high above the village.
From the shared courtyard a private entrance door leads into this end of terrace, L-shaped, single-storey property. Once inside you are met with a welcoming hallway leading to the striking lounge/kitchen/dining room on your right which has high ceilings, exposed beams and is light and airy. This cleverly designed open-plan space has a lounge area with wood burner for those cosy nights in relaxing and watching your favourite programmes on the Smart TV.
