The stunning Northumberland coastline and magnificent Bamburgh Castle are within easy driving distance, while the tidal causeway to Holy Island makes for a truly memorable day out. Alnwick Castle and Gardens, famously featured in the Harry Potter films, are close by, as are the historic Scottish border towns of Kelso, Melrose and Jedburgh. Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby Cheviot Hills and College Valley, with their breath-taking views and excellent walking routes. Sleeping up to four guests and welcoming two dogs, this pet-friendly retreat is perfect for families or couples seeking a peaceful countryside escape.
Inside, a bright entrance hall with colourful floor tiles sets the tone for this characterful former farm worker’s cottage. The inviting lounge features a cosy wood burner (with a complimentary scuttle of logs) and comfortable seating, perfect for relaxing evenings in. Entertainment includes a TV/DVD player with a selection of DVDs, plus books and games stored in the sideboard. The well-equipped kitchen and dining area offers a solid wood table, electric oven and hob, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge freezer and microwave. Upstairs, two airy double bedrooms, one king-size and one double, enjoy lovely countryside views. The family bathroom includes a shower over the bath and WC. Thoughtful touches throughout ensure a welcoming and comfortable stay.
Outside, the enclosed garden provides a peaceful outdoor space to relax and unwind. The patio is furnished with garden seating and a BBQ, ideal for al fresco dining while enjoying the rural surroundings. A lawn and small wooded area offer quiet corners to watch the sunset, spot local birdlife or stargaze after dark. There is parking for one car directly outside the property. Handy extras include bicycle storage, a stairgate on request and Wi-Fi. Kypie Cottage sits around two miles from the nearest farm shop and pub, offering the perfect balance of rural seclusion and easy access to local amenities.
