About this cottage rental
Set within the spectacular Northumberland National Park, this inviting cottage offers a peaceful base for discovering one of England's most breath-taking landscapes. Surrounded by moorlands, forests and walking trails, it's a paradise for outdoor lovers, with stargazing opportunities in Europe's largest Dark Sky Park. Climb to the legendary Drake Stone, explore nearby Kielder Forest, or enjoy day trips to Alnwick Castle, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and Northumberland's wild coastline. There are a traditional pub and small shop, with wood-fired pizza and local produce, on your doorstep.
Inside, the cottage is warm and welcoming. The cosy lounge has comfy sofas, a Smart TV, and a wood-burning stove for relaxed evenings in. The country-style kitchen is well equipped for holiday living, with a second wood burner and a dining table for sociable mealtimes. Upstairs, you'll find three comfortable bedrooms – two king-size and a single - all with lovely countryside views. There's a shower room with WC on the ground floor and a shower room with WC upstairs.
At the front of the property, a bench offers a spot for morning coffee or an evening drink. The neighbouring pub's beer garden provides a relaxed setting, ideal for informal meals or sampling the local ales.
