Just 1 mile from the property is the village of Hawkshead, which offers a choice of pubs and shops, as well as several National Trust properties, including the Beatrix Potter Gallery and the historic Grammar School, where William Wordsworth was once a pupil. This large country house is in a wonderful, elevated position overlooking Esthwaite Water, set in 40 acres of gardens and woodland.
