About this cottage rental
Positioned on the edge of the popular village of West Buckland, this bright and airy property is set in a peaceful location yet has excellent road links, making it the ideal base for touring both Somerset and Devon. Many pretty towns and villages are accessible from here, including nearby Wellington, which offers a good selection of local amenities. A visit to the town museum is a must for history lovers. Also accessible by car are a wealth of popular attractions including the rugged beauty of Exmoor and Dartmoor, north and south coasts and a choice of National Trust properties. Enjoy day trips to the seaside towns of Sidmouth, Minehead and Burnham-on-Sea all under an hour’s drive.
Step into the light and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner with high ceilings and beautiful exposed beams, a perfect place for a quiet, or romantic break away. Settle in for a snug evening with a feast, a bottle of wine and a film on the Smart TV. The perfectly equipped kitchen has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble dryer it is a great space for cooking lazy breakfasts or trying out new recipes. The single-storey accommodation has two bedrooms at either end of the property, a king-size bedroom with a neighbouring shower room with shower and WC. The second bedroom has a double bed and a single bed to provide guests with added flexibility, this bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom with a bath, separate shower and WC.
Outside there is an enclosed walled courtyard garden with views over fields and to the church, which is beautifully lit up at night, great for both you and your dogs to relax in. Guests will find a table and chairs as well as a hot tub, which is particularly inviting at night, when guests can enjoy the warm bubbling water under the star-filled skies.
