About this villa rental
ABOUT THIS SPACE
The Bowman Retreat is a three-bedroom, 1.5-bath townhome laid out across two floors — everything you need for a full month of comfortable living, with the outdoor space to actually enjoy it.
The Back Porch
Step out the rear entry and you`re on your private back porch — shaded, spacious, and set up for living. A charcoal grill, a Tetris game, and beanbag toss are out there waiting. This is where evenings happen: a cold drink, something on the grill, and no agenda. Guests enter through the back by default (parking is in the rear), so the porch greets you every time you come home.
Main Floor
The open-plan ground floor flows naturally from the kitchen through the dining area into the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric stove, air fryer, and panini grill. A full-size in-unit washer and dryer are on this floor, no hauling laundry anywhere. The half bath is down here as well. The living room anchors around a Roku Smart TV, and the layout gives you enough space to spread out without feeling like you`re living on top of each other.
Bedrooms
All three bedrooms are on the second floor. Bedroom 1 has a king bed. Bedrooms 2 and 3 each have a queen. Standard cotton linens throughout. The single full bathroom is also upstairs — clean and straightforward, shared between the bedrooms. (Note: all sleeping and the full bath require stairs — keep this in mind if mobility is a concern.)
The Extras
Iron, ironing board, and hair dryer are all stocked and ready. The home sleeps up to 6 comfortably across the three bedrooms. Traveling with a little one? A Pack `n Play is available on request for a small additional fee.
LOCATION & WHAT`S NEARBY
The Bowman Retreat sits in the sweet spot of Mount Pleasant — close enough to everything that matters, far enough from the tourist crowds to feel like you actually live here.
Beaches
Isle of Palms — 12 minutes. Sullivan`s Island — 15 minutes. Both are wide, uncrowded, and a far cry from the packed resort beaches you`ll find elsewhere on the East Coast. Pick your morning, grab the dog, and go.
Downtown Charleston — 15 minutes
Cross the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge and you`re in one of America`s most celebrated cities. King Street for dining and shopping, the French Quarter for a wander, the Battery for a waterfront stroll. A quick drive, never a commitment.
Shem Creek — 5 minutes
Mount Pleasant`s own waterfront hub, right around the corner. Cold drinks, fresh seafood, kayak rentals, and a 2,000-foot boardwalk over the marsh. This becomes your default Tuesday-night move.
Patriots Point — 8 minutes
Home to the USS Yorktown aircraft carrier and the Medal of Honor Museum. Worth an afternoon, especially for families or history buffs.
Boone Hall Plantation — 10 minutes
One of America`s most iconic working plantations. The moss-draped Avenue of Oaks alone is worth the drive.
Palmetto Islands County Park — 10 minutes
Walking trails, kayak launch, picnic shelters — and a dedicated dog park. If you`re bringing your pup for the month, this one goes on the regular rotation.
Charleston International Airport — 20 minutes
Easy in, easy out, whether you`re picking someone up or heading home at the end of your stay.
WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
This home is purpose-built for the 30-night guest. Here`s who thrives here:
Traveling nurses and healthcare professionals on assignment at MUSC, Roper, or area hospitals — you need a real home after a long shift, not a hotel room.
Remote workers who want a change of scenery without sacrificing comfort. Work from the dining table, take a beach break by noon, grill on the porch by evening.
Relocating families and individuals scoping out Charleston before committing. Spend a month in Mount Pleasant and you`ll understand why people choose to stay.
Corporate travelers and contractors on extended projects in the greater Charleston area. A furnished home beats a corporate suite every time.
Dogs welcome — up to two, with a $220 per dog fee.
GUEST ACCESS
Check-in is at 3pm via smart lock — your unique entry code is sent before arrival, so you can head straight in without coordinating with anyone. Check-out is at 10am. Early check-in and late checkout are available for purchase if your schedule needs flexibility. You`ll have the entire home to yourself for the duration of your stay.
PARKING
Two dedicated parking spots are included in the rear lot directly behind the home — this is also where you`ll enter through the back porch. Additional overflow parking is available in the shared lot on a first-come basis. We can only guarantee the two dedicated spots; any vehicles beyond that will need to find space in the overflow lot.
The Bowman Retreat is a smoke-free home. No smoking or vaping of any kind is permitted inside. If you`d like to smoke, please step outside. If smoke is detected inside the home during or after your stay, a $250 fee will be charged to the booking.
Dogs are welcome — up to two, with a $220 fee per dog added at booking. Please let us know in advance that you`re bringing a pet. Any pet not disclosed at the time of booking will be subject to a fee of $200 per night for the duration of the stay.
The Bowman Retreat is set up for residential living, not events. Please keep gatherings limited to the guests listed on the reservation. Parties and large group events are not permitted.
Quiet hours run from 10pm to 8am. We`re in a residential neighborhood — please keep music, conversation, and outdoor activity at a considerate level during those hours.
