If on a "Workcation" you will enjoy two designated work areas/rooms with eero mesh highspeed internet throughout the house. Everything has been tastefully updated to envelop you in a comfortable and secure environment. You will enjoy antiques & modern furniture, fine linens, along with wonderful light and a lovely garden.
Mount Pleasant is considered the premier suburb of Charleston and is just a short jaunt across the Harbor from "Historic Downtown" Charleston. "The Restful Retreat" is Serene yet Urban.....There are two dreamy bedrooms and two full baths, plus a den/office with a daybed. You will find all the accoutrements you would expect of a quality home to enjoy your vacation abode. This is our personal home and there is much more than you usually find in most vacation rentals. We trust you will enjoy it as much as we do.
Everything you might need is right here in Mount Pleasant..... Whole Foods & Trader Joe's are just a short drive. That said, the fun really begins with kayaking on Shem Creek, walking/running the Ravenel Bridge, enjoying the fantastic beaches of Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms or perhaps meandering the Pitt Street "Walking" Bridge and then stopping off to enjoy the shops/restaurants in "Old Village". Many visitors come to Charleston with one thing on their mind.....FOOD! Well, you are in the perfect spot as many of the best are less than a few miles away! You will find Historic Charleston to be only 5 miles away with over 450 restaurants to tempt your palate with endless shopping and Historic discoveries!
The property's location has convenient access to the Charleston International Airport, via I-26 and I-526 and many other destinations.

Our stay in Barbaras House was perfect. Barbara was a very careful and caring hostess of all the details, both of the lease process and of our arrival at Mount Pleasant, so that our experience of the entire week's stay at home was extraordinary. Additionally the house is very comfortable, the kitchen is spacious and modern, it has a living room adjoining the kitchen very appropriate for coffee and conversation, a living room with TV and very comfortable and well equipped bedrooms. We would definitely like to return next year.

The house in Mount Pleasant was fantastic. It met all our needs and was beautiful and well maintained. The owner was very responsive and helpful in planning the visit.
The location was fantastic. Mount Pleasant is a wonderful town. Stores were close by. The beach was a short drive away. It is only a short 10 minute drive across the bridge to downtown Charleston.
