Mines families: the campus is directly across the street, which makes graduation weekends, family visits, and campus tours about as easy as it gets.

Red Rocks concertgoers: close enough for a relaxed drive home after the encore, with room for the whole group.

Skiers and mountain travelers: five minutes from I-70 makes the Loft an easy basecamp for the high country. Play in the mountains all day, then come back to a warm Loft, a lit fireplace, and great local restaurants in the evening.

You're a 2-block walk from the shops, cafes, and restaurants of historic downtown Golden, and a 3-minute walk from Clear Creek for summer tubing, fishing, or a stroll along the trail. The Coors Brewery and its daily tours are a 5-minute walk down 13th Street. Red Rocks Amphitheatre is 8 miles away — about a 15-minute drive, or a 45-minute e-bike ride for anyone who wants to make the trip part of the adventure. Downtown Denver is a 25-minute drive, and Boulder and Golden Gate Canyon State Park are short trips for a bigger day outside.

Golden is also a natural place to stage a mountain trip. You're five minutes from I-70, the main route into the Rockies, which puts Breckenridge and its ski runs about an hour away, with skiing, snowboarding, and high-country hiking all along the corridor. The entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is about 90 minutes north.

Guest access: The entire loft is yours. A street-parking pass is provided for one vehicle on the block, and a public parking lot nearby handles any additional cars. The garages on the property aren't available for guest parking. Once you park and unpack, you'll only need your car for trips out of town — the walkability of the Loft is one of its best attributes.

Worth knowing: Entry is up a couple of exterior steps, then a flight of interior stairs to the living room — worth knowing if stairs are difficult for anyone in your group.

Per City of Golden short-term-rental rules, occupancy of the unit is limited to four (4) adults and their dependents, if any.
