Welcome to the Gîte de la Chouette des 1000 Étangs (Owl of the 1000 Ponds Gîte), located in Mélisey, in the heart of the renowned Plateau des 1000 Étangs (Plateau of 1000 Ponds), one of the most beautiful natural areas in Haute-Saône. This destination is ideal for lovers of wide-open spaces, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and unspoiled landscapes. Between forests, ponds, peat bogs, and valleys, discover an authentic region nicknamed "Little Finland" for its unique scenery.
Mélisey is a vibrant Green Resort that appeals to families thanks to its La Praille leisure area, a true haven of relaxation for tourists. There you'll find a seasonal outdoor swimming pool with a 25-meter pool, paddling pool, and water slide, as well as mini-golf, children's playgrounds, pétanque, basketball, and volleyball courts, picnic areas, barbecues, and pleasant walking paths. Just opposite, the equestrian center completes the range of leisure activities for all ages. Chalet-style restaurants are easily accessible on-site.

The Gîte de la Chouette des 1000 Étangs is the ideal place for a stay with family, friends, or as a couple, in a peaceful, green setting where nature is ever-present. This spacious, fully equipped, detached cottage comprises:
Ground floor:
- A fully equipped kitchen with a 4-burner induction hob, oven, microwave, refrigerator, kettle, toaster, juicer, espresso machine, and several appliances for entertaining: raclette grill, hot stone grill, griddle, and crepe maker. A washing machine is available in the entrance hall.
- A living area with several sofas and armchairs, a smart TV, and a sofa bed that can accommodate two additional people upon request. French doors open onto the terrace.
- A large bathroom with a 1 x 1.70 m walk-in shower.
First floor:
- Two adjoining bedrooms:
- A first bedroom with three single beds (90 x 190 cm).
- A second bedroom with a double bed (160 x 200 cm), accessible by passing through the bedroom with the three single beds.
- A separate toilet with direct access to the outside.
Outside:
- A furnished terrace accessible from the living room, including garden furniture, an awning, and sun loungers. A few steps lead down to an enclosed garden with a pétanque court, deck chairs, and an outdoor clothesline.
