This delightful apartment, located in a prestigious building, is set on the cliff top in a quiet area but close enough to Whitby town to enjoy all the action. Whitby, nestled on the rugged North Yorkshire coast of England, is a captivating destination. This charming seaside town offers a perfect blend of natural beauty, history, and vibrant culture. Take a stroll from the Whale bones arch down to Whitby's iconic, stunning harbour, bustling with fishing boats and lined with quaint cottages. The town boasts picturesque sandy beaches, quirky shops and many seafood restaurants. The dramatic cliffs, including the famous 199 steps to Whitby Abbey perched atop, provide breathtaking views and a touch of Gothic allure. For history enthusiasts, Whitby offers a rich tapestry of stories, from its connections to Captain Cook to its role in Bram Stoker's Dracula. Spend a day exploring Robin Hood's Bay, travel by road or get your walking boots on and walk along the Cleveland Way route.
Enter the main building and take the lift or the beautiful staircase to the third floor of this impressive former grand hotel. Make your way down the large corridor to the apartment entrance and then step inside. The apartment is light, airy and spacious with period features such as high ceilings and elegant decor, creating a relaxing ambience. The thoughtful artwork and chandeliers set alongside stylish contemporary furnishings make for an unforgettable stay. Hang up your coats before going straight ahead into the lounge/dining area, where you can make yourself at home. As you enter this light-filled space, your eyes are naturally drawn to the view from every window, affording majestic panoramic sea views towards Sandsend, the beach, harbour, and Whitby Abbey. The lounge area features plenty of plush seating, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. As the day turns to night, relax on the reclining sofa in front of the media wall and watch a favourite film on the 65-inch OLED Smart TV. Prepare home-cooked meals and packed lunches for your days out in the sleek kitchen featuring all the appliances you need to make meal preparation a breeze during your stay, as well as a breakfast bar table for speedy meals. Along the long hallway, there are three spacious bedrooms, all of which have access to a balcony where you can all sit out and enjoy your morning cup of coffee with a view. There are two king-size bedrooms and one twin room (two 4ft small doubles), and all have plenty of storage. Each end of the hallway is a bathroom, one has a bath/shower above and a WC, and the other is a shower room with a shower and WC.
From sunrise to sunset, the balcony is bound to send you home with some long-term memories of the far reaching views to Whitby harbour and Sandsend. Enjoy walks along the promenade down to Sandsend and be in the town centre withing a few minutes to explore the harbour, shops, pubs, and restaurants. There is private parking for one car, with additional public parking at Westcliff, 200 metres away.
