About this cottage rental
This spacious family home has glorious views over the Rock Estuary and towards Padstow, making it a brilliant choice for get-togethers among friends or extended family. It sleeps up to ten guests and sits within the lively coastal village of Rock, known for its boutique shops, friendly cafes and restaurants, plus water sports opportunities like surfing, kayaking and sailing. You’ll be less than 1 mile from Rock Beach. Fancy a thrill? How about heading out on the water for a spot of waterskiing or sailing via the local ski school (350 metres) Days out are easy: Polzeath’s surfing beach and Daymer Bay (both around 3 miles) are fab options, or head to Port Isaac of Doc Martin fame (9 miles away). Tintagel Castle (15 miles) is steeped in Arthurian myth, while golf fans will be delighted to find the championship course at St Enodoc right on Rock’s edge (0.5 miles).
Beautifully presented, this holiday home has lovely features like quality wooden flooring and panelling, plus tasteful artwork to make you feel at home. On arrival, step into the hallway and you’ll find two twin rooms on your right, while turning left leads to a double bedroom and a king-size bedroom, both with en-suites. A family bathroom and a handy utility room complete this level. Head upstairs to the light-filled open-plan living space, complete with a vaulted ceiling and beams, where comfortable seating invites you to settle in and soak up those sensational views. There’s a snug corner for film nights, a smaller dining table that’s perfect for board games, and a larger table next to the kitchen area for sociable dinners that go late into the evening.
Sliding doors from the main living area open out onto an impressive balcony for fresh-air drinks and chats, all while enjoying those fantastic views. From here, you can also access the rear garden, with its breeze house and BBQ. The hot tub is at the front of the ground floor – great for soaks with sea glimpses. An external annexe is where you’ll find the additional sleeping space for two, complete with its own shower room and WC. There’s private parking for four cars.
