Sleeping two guests, the one-bedroom red-brick hideaway is set in the heart of rural Dorset, 8 miles from Dorchester and 11.5 miles from Blandford Forum. Lace up your walking boots and venture out into your tranquil surroundings. Follow the 6-mile circular walk of the Dorsetshire Gap, 4 miles away. Climb Bulbarrow Hill, 6 miles away, to absorb the panoramic views. Visit the National Trust’s Hardy’s Cottage, 5.5 miles away, to see the cob and thatched abode where the famous English novelist was born. Venture into Dorchester to stock up on local produce, dine out in friendly pubs, and explore its award-winning museums. While you are here, indulge in a little retail therapy in Brewery Square, famous for its dancing fountains.
