About this cottage rental
Offering light and elegant holiday accommodation for larger families and groups of friends, this light-filled reverse-level retreat is a fantastic base for discovering North Devon’s glorious beaches, quaint villages and breathtaking countryside. Croyde is one of the UK’s best surfing spots, with a superb sandy beach just half a mile from the property. This idyllic part of the county is home to the beautiful beaches at Woolacombe, Putsborough and Saunton, all within 5 miles and easily accessible along the South West Coast Path. The path also leads to Baggy Point and further north towards Mortehoe (6 miles). Travelling inland, the cheerful village of Braunton (5 miles) has a choice of shops and pubs, and leads along to the dunes of Braunton Burrows (6.5 miles). Also within easy reach are the lively resort of Ilfracombe (9 miles) and the tranquil moorlands of Exmoor National Park (10 miles).
Entering this beautiful property, a welcoming porch and hallway provide space for leaving coats and boots before you head up to the second floor, where you will find the bright and airy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. This light, fresh and cheerful space has been stylishly arranged, with the spacious lounge area featuring sumptuous seating and a Smart TV, providing a fantastic space for everyone to settle back in peace. Over to the side, the country-style dining table is perfectly positioned for enjoying a family get-together, leading seamlessly across to the sleek, fully equipped kitchen with lots of storage and workspaces. From the lounge, glass sliding doors lead through to a delightful conservatory which then opens out onto a sunny terrace with outdoor seating, offering a fantastic spot for dining alfresco. Going back down to the first floor, you will find two charming king-size bedrooms, each with a refreshing en-suite shower room. A few steps lead down to the ground floor, which houses the two remaining bedrooms: a cheery twin and a further twin, alongside a soothing bathroom and a handy utility room. The ground floor is rounded off with a cute snug with a sofa and a piano.
Stepping outside, the generous garden has a lovely patio and a large lawn with ample seating, offering an ideal spot for taking in the far-reaching sea views. Private off-road parking is available along the driveway for three cars, and the garage has plenty of space for storing bikes and other outdoor gear.
