Beautifully styled and full of character, this handsome stone cottage in the heart of Polruan offers an exceptional base for unforgettable coastal escapes. Wander the village’s winding streets, with its scenic viewpoints, local shop, cosy pubs and cafés all just moments away. The passenger ferry to Fowey is only 200 metres from the door, giving easy access to its independent shops, eateries and peaceful waterfront. Explore St Catherine’s Castle and Readymoney Cove (1 mile), or follow stunning coastal paths to Gribbin Head and Polkerris. Adventurous walkers can continue on to Par (7 miles) and return by bus. The Hall Walk around the river creeks reveals beautiful scenery, the Quiller-Couch Memorial and Daphne du Maurier’s former home at Bodinnick. Nearby highlights include The Eden Project (7.5 miles). Golfers can enjoy the spectacular Carlyon Bay Golf Course (6 miles) or St Mellion Golf Club (30 miles). Further afield, discover Polzeath’s sweeping sands and Rick Stein’s famous restaurant in Padstow (28 miles).

Make your way through the hallway and into the dine-in kitchen, a well-equipped and welcoming space to enjoy meals together. A wood burner here adds a cosy ambience, offering the perfect way to warm up after a day of exploring. From here, make your way up to the first floor, home to a double and a single bedroom with option of an additional pull-out single bed. Both inviting bedrooms are comfortable and quiet, sharing the use of a family bathroom with a shower over the bath. Take the final flight of stairs up to the top floor, where a lovely lounge area and wood burner boasts exceptional views across the river and beyond. This cosy spot features ample soft seating, along with a Smart TV with Sky Sports and Netflix to keep you entertained.
Double doors open from the lounge onto a delightful balcony with harbour views, and a stairway down to a sheltered terrace with table, chairs and a barbecue. Private parking for one small car (68 inch wide or less) is provided by the side of the house.
