Enjoying a quiet location at the heart of the idyllic fishing village of Polruan, this delightful cottage is perfect for couples and smaller families exploring the glorious coastline of South Cornwall. Offering spacious, cosy and light-filled accommodation for up to four guests, the property features a welcoming wood burner, stone flooring and a secret, walled patio garden surrounded by cascading plants. Beautifully decorated and stylishly furnished, this tastefully updated getaway makes a fantastic bolthole for a romantic escape, or a relaxing holiday base perfect for discovering the spellbinding landscapes of the Fowey Valley.
Stepping into this fresh and airy property the bright and welcoming lounge/diner features a couple of separate seating areas, a cosy wood burner, a Smart TV and a stylish dining table perfect for enjoying all your favourite family meals together. The ground floor also has a bright, colourful and fully equipped kitchen. Going upstairs, you will find an elegant bathroom with a shower over the P-shaped bath. There are also two light-filled bedrooms: a lovely super-king-size room and a cheerful double. A stable door opens out from the kitchen and into the delightful south-facing walled patio garden. Surrounded by plants and with terracotta flowerpots and outdoor furniture, this is a lovely spot to sit back with a glass of wine on a summer’s evening.
Offering glorious views across the valley and out to sea, the picturesque ancient fishing village of Polruan offers fantastic chances to spot a range of wildlife including seabirds and seals. A short trip by ferry will take you over the river to the thriving coastal resort of Fowey (0.5 miles) which has a variety of great pubs and restaurants alongside a bustling harbour. Other local attractions include Hidden Valley Gardens, the Eden Project, Deerpark Forest and Looe Valley Vineyard, all within 15 miles.
