Located on a working farm in the picturesque Ribble Valley, this comfortable escape welcomes large groups and multi-generational families to discover scenic landscapes, picturesque villages, and an abundance of award-winning foodie destinations. Less than 0.5 miles from your door is the family-friendly Mrs Dowsons, a farm park offering animal interactions, regular events, and homemade ice cream. Walkers will want to stride out on the Ribble Way or the popular Tolkien Trail (6.5 miles) – a 7-mile walk through the countryside that inspired the famous author. Experience the historic market town of Clitheroe (9 miles), where you’ll find superb shops, excellent restaurants, art and craft galleries, and a regular market, all overlooked by a Norman castle. Another great day trip is to Browsholme Hall (13 miles), a landmark property dating back to the 16th century, which offers guided tours as well as extensive grounds and a tearoom.
