Set in the heart of lively Braunton, this welcoming cottage is a great choice for couples or families looking to explore North Devon’s stunning coastline. The village has plenty to offer within 0.5 miles, from independent shops and cosy cafés to inviting pubs and eateries where you can pop in for a laid-back meal or morning coffee. For a day out by the sea, head to Saunton Sands (2 miles) to enjoy its wide sandy beach, perhaps enjoying some swimming, surfing, or other water sports like windsurfing. It’s also the spot for joining the coast path, opening excellent trails along the dramatic coastline with unforgettable views. For all golf enthusiasts, Saunton Golf Club is only 2.6 miles away. Cyclists will also be in their element with the popular Tarka Trail, accessible 2 miles away, offering scenic off-road routes with plenty of spots to pause for lunch, or even a refreshing dip in the sea.
Inside, the cottage has a stylish and welcoming look and feel, starting with the kitchen/dining area. It has glossy units and wood-panelled walls, along with a lovely table and benches for sitting down to shared meals or planning the day ahead. From here, move through to the cosy lounge, where a comfortable corner sofa and Smart TV set you up for unwinding with a favourite box set. On sunny days, open the patio doors to let the light flood in, or step straight out into the private courtyard. A handy downstairs WC is a convenient touch. Upstairs, you’ll have two inviting bedrooms: a king-size room with its own en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom. A family bathroom with a shower over the bath completes the interior.
Outside, enjoy the fresh air in the enclosed courtyard, which has a table and chairs for dining alfresco or enjoying an evening drink. The property also has allocated parking for one car, making it easy to come and go.
