Staying at this impressive, stone-built property just outside Windermere offers friends or family the perfect Lake District escape. Set in the heart of South Lakeland, the house provides easy access to the stunning lakes, with Bowness-on-Windermere just a two-mile walk or drive away, where you can explore charming streets, cafes, and shops. Golf enthusiasts will appreciate being less than a mile from the renowned Windermere Golf Club. For outdoor lovers, the surrounding area is a paradise. Enjoy scenic walks and bike rides along the fells, through woodland trails, or around the shores of Lake Windermere, taking in the breathtaking views that make the Lake District so iconic.
The property welcomes you through a traditional slate and glazed entrance porch, complete with stone seating on either side. Inside, the dining room exudes style, with exposed ceiling beams and shuttered windows framing the garden outside. The lounge is a cosy retreat with a wood burner, panelled walls, and a bay window that make it a lovely spot to gather on chilly evenings.
