About this cottage rental
Set in the peaceful hamlet of Lobb, just outside the popular village of Croyde, Croyde and Putsborough Cottages at South Lobb Farm can be booked together to provide a spacious and flexible base for families or groups holidaying in North Devon. The two cottages are attached, yet each benefits from its own separate entrance, allowing guests to enjoy plenty of shared time alongside the comfort and privacy of individual accommodation. This attractive location is ideally placed for exploring some of North Devon’s most celebrated beaches and countryside. Within two miles, guests can enjoy the golden sands of Saunton Beach, renowned for its excellent surf and vast shoreline, as well as the lively village of Croyde, which offers a tempting choice of pubs, cafés and a further world‑class surfing beach. The scenic Tarka Trail and the South West Coast Path are both close by for walkers and cyclists, while golfers can tee off at the championship Saunton Golf Club. A little further along the coast, the award‑winning beaches of Putsborough and Woolacombe provide even more opportunities for days by the sea.
Inside, the two adjoining cottages have been thoughtfully renovated to create welcoming, comfortable interiors that work particularly well for group stays. Each cottage offers its own well‑equipped kitchen, dining space and living area, making it easy for everyone to come together for meals or relaxation while still having the option to enjoy quieter moments in separate spaces. Sleeping up to ten guests across four bedrooms arranged over two floors, the layout is flexible and well‑suited to families, friends or multi‑generational groups. Croyde Cottage features a ground‑floor triple bedroom with two single beds and a day bed, alongside a first‑floor master double bedroom. Putsborough Cottage offers a bright double bedroom on the first floor, while the ground floor includes a bedroom with twin beds and a day bed, which can be made up as a double on request. Each cottage has its own modern bathroom, adding convenience and comfort for larger parties.
Outside, guests can relax in the courtyard area with bistro seating and BBQ facilities, perfect for enjoying meals outdoors. Beyond this lies a large communal garden with a children’s play area and lovely views across the surrounding countryside and coastline. The heated outdoor swimming pool, open daily from May to September, is a real highlight and provides a safe and enjoyable space for all ages to unwind on warmer days. Additional shared facilities include secure storage for bikes, covered areas for surfboards and wetsuits, an outdoor wash area and access to an on‑site EV charging point.
