About this cottage rental
Tucked away just moments from the River Stour, this welcoming holiday home combines the ease of town-centre living with the calm of a riverside escape. It’s perfect for families seeking a riverside getaway, with bike hire and watersport hire just a short stroll away. Step outside and you’ll find independent shops, cafés, restaurants, lively bars, and historic streets all within a short stroll, while the beach and harbour are just a gentle walk away. Enjoy some water sports and sailing on the river or head over to the Quomps Splash pool and PlayWitpark located approx. 200 yards from the property, an ideal place to spend a sunny day cooling down and tiring the little ones out. Explore the wide network of walking and cycling routes on offer over at the New Forest located less than 6 miles away. For days at the seaside, a ferry is located near the property (less than 100 yards) which can take the family down the beautiful river to the beaches at Hengistbury Head.
Inside, the house is thoughtfully laid out across three floors, offering plenty of space for families to relax together while still enjoying privacy. On the ground floor, the open-plan kitchen and dining area is the heart of the home, fully equipped for everything from leisurely breakfasts to family feasts, with patio doors opening directly onto the enclosed garden. It’s a wonderful space for sharing meals, planning adventures, and enjoying long, unhurried evenings. Also on the ground floor is a twin room. Opposite the bedroom is a shower room. On the first floor, you will find the living room with doors opening onto a balcony where you can enjoy morning coffee or an evening drink while taking in peaceful river views. Relax on the comfy sofas in front of the Smart TV. The master king-size bedroom is on this level with an en-suite bathroom. Up on the second floor, the final bedroom, a double, has an en-suite bathroom.
Outside, the private, enclosed garden provides a safe and sunny space for children to play and for adults to enjoy al fresco dining in the fresh South Coast air.
