Spectacular Camber Sands, with its rolling dunes, is just 4.5 miles away, while quieter Winchelsea Beach is just 3 miles from the cottage. Visit English Heritage’s fascinating 1066 Battle of Hastings site, where you can wander the abbey ruins and see where William the Conqueror’s Norman invaders met King Harold’s English army, 14.5 miles away.
