About this cottage rental
Situated on the edge of Wooler, this beautiful family home is perfect for a group of five friends or a family wishing to escape the hustle and bustle and enjoy a gentle break in this popular town, close to the Cheviot Hills and Northumberland National Park. Pick up groceries, or grab a bite to eat in Wooler (0.3 miles), or take one of the many walking and cycling routes from here. If you like all things Halloween, visit ‘Britain’s Most Haunted Castle’, Chillingham Castle, for ghost tours (6 miles), and for geology buffs, the dramatic St Cuthbert’s Cave, which is managed by the National Trust (8.5 miles). Spend a day at fabulous Ford and Etal and take a steam train ride. All this and the stunning Northumberland coastline is within easy reach, too, with Budle Bay, 13 miles away, and Bamburgh, 15 miles away.
This charming home is bright and airy throughout and has been thoughtfully decorated and designed to highlight various period features. Cook up a storm and enjoy eating in the light and bright kitchen/diner, which has stunning picture windows framing the views out to the garden. Once you have refuelled unwind in one of the lounges, which both have gas fires and Smart TVs. There is also a sunroom, where you can enjoy your morning coffee.
