About this cottage rental
This gorgeous, semi-detached stone property set on a working farm with sheep and cattle is the perfect escape for families in Tylwch, 3 miles from Llanidloes. This small market town is a lively holiday destination in scenic Powys, home to charming black-and-white timber-framed buildings, with a selection of shops and eateries to explore. Known as the ‘Gateway to the Cambrian Mountains’, Llanidloes is the perfect base for thrilling mountain hikes, including the impressive walking route, The Cambrian and Severn Ways. Discover the picturesque Llyn Clywedog Reservoir, about 7.5 miles away, where you can take a boat trip or simply enjoy the many viewpoints along its banks. From here, follow the River Severn into the depths of Hafren Forest (9.5 miles), exploring waterfall trails and scenic paths through tree-lined routes.
Drive down a single-track lane and through a small lorry yard to arrive at this lovely cottage. Step inside and into the welcoming hall, which has plenty of space for coats and shoes. To the right is the kitchen/diner leading through to the snug with a wood burner, TV and board games for family fun. The stylish kitchen has all the appliances you need for a self-catering stay, and the dining table is a lovely setting to enjoy your meals and plan your holiday activities. Head upstairs to the lounge and relax on the comfortable sofas, watch your favourites on the Smart TV and light the electric wood burner on cooler evenings. There is access to balcony here to catch the glorious evening sunshine resting on the table and chairs. The property has three lovely bedrooms: a king size with en-suite shower room on the first floor, and on the ground floor another king-size with en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin. Completing the layout is a stylish ground-floor bathroom.
Relax on the balcony, enjoying a BBQ around the picnic table. Look out for the resident chickens and rabbits, and listen to the surrounding birdsong. There is private parking for three cars, and space for your bikes in the garden. Please note the owner lives on site though your privacy is assured at all times.
