Glamping Life Retreat

Loved the hot tub, cabin was cosy. Very peaceful. Like that you can book 1 night only as we were traveling.

Nice concept, generally well stocked room.

You are very close to the neighbours and motorway behind which I did not like but the room was actually very quiet.

We absolutely loved everything! The property is just the right size and spotlessly clean! It has everything you need, fridge, kettle toaster, microwave and the welcome pack of coffee tea, sugar and milk were great!

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like. Apart from the lack of privacy from hare lodge (We were in stag). That’s the only fault we have. Maybe put some screening up around the fence…

Lovely comfy beds, super pillows as sort and firm available. Fabulous location for getting round and about. The Elan valley, Llandriod Wells and Rhayader all approx 20 mins drive away. With lots on offer within driving range such as Aberystwyth, Corris, Devils bridge etc. There’s a little stream that runs along the back of the place which was nice to dip your feet in. Separate showers in block of four were spacious and clean with toilet roll provided. Place to wash dishes with soap, sponges and tea towels provided. Clean towels provided daily and bedding changed mid week. The care takers were really lovely people and dealt with any issues straight away. My bathroom door was difficult in locking, reported and fixed the next day. They were friendly and approachable.

Sadly, the pods are really close together so there is no privacy at all. I had to contend with people playing music day and night, having sex loudly just feet away from me in hot tubs in the evenings and there were lots of dogs which isn’t a complaint but just not for me, sorry and no offence meant here. There is a kettle, toaster, fridge and microwave but no hot plate so the only way to make anything other than a microwave meals was using the fire pit for a bbq which was fab but I’m not sure how that would have worked if the weather had been different. I didn’t want a hot tub so booked hare pod.. it wasn’t about the price I just didn’t want a hot tub but the amenities were rather poor in hare pod, no balcony to dry clothes etc, other pods had a round table and chairs for eating at with a sun umbrella. Hare had a 2 seater rickety old wooden bench and table that was so tilted you couldn’t put anything on it as it would have rolled off and had zero escape / shelter from the sun. Whilst most of the above are not the owners fault and would no doubt have been addressed if I had raised it, cramming the pods so closely definitely didn’t help. Backs on to a relatively busy road which can’t be helped but I’m just pointing it out because if I’d have know I would have taken ear plugs to avoid disturbance especially from the early morning traffic. For the above reasons, I wouldn’t visit again but recolonise that we all like different things so what suits one doesn’t suit another and there are lots of pros to this place as well.
