Welcome to Big Blue: The Cottage — a renovated beach studio less than 100 yards from the sand in Jacksonville Beach. Walk out your door and your toes are in the ocean in under two minutes. This is the closest Nomad Hospitality offers to a true beachfront stay at this price point.
The studio sleeps 2 on a queen bed with a memory foam mattress and luxury cotton linens. The open layout includes a living area, full bathroom, and a well-stocked kitchenette — perfect for morning coffee and light meals. No full stove, but a large conventional toaster oven/air fryer handles everything from reheating leftovers to cooking a real meal.
Keyless entry means no key exchange — your access code is waiting in the guest portal before you arrive. Fast Xfinity WiFi keeps you connected, and the Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime is ready for a laid-back evening in. Beach towels, a Keurig, and a fully stocked bathroom are already waiting. No washer or dryer on-site.
Parking is easy: off-street spaces on a first-come basis, plus a free public lot right next to the cottage and street parking along 16th Avenue.
Step outside and you're a 9-minute walk to Mellow Mushroom for craft beer and Detroit-style pies, or 10 minutes to Salt Life Food Shack for fresh seafood with a surf-culture vibe. The Jacksonville Beach Pier — great for a summer sunrise or watching surfers — is just a 2-minute drive. Beaches Town Center, with North Beach Fish Camp and a Publix, is 3 minutes by car.
Self check-in via keyless entry. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, olive oil, and basics. Note: a city renovation project nearby may bring some construction noise on weekdays and occasional minor road adjustments — reach out if you have questions and we'll help find the right fit.
A refundable security deposit or optional damage waiver may be required. Guests will be given the option to choose between a refundable security deposit or a non-refundable damage waiver prior to check-in.

Exactly as described in the listing - perfect for 2 people. And the ramp to the beach is just outside the property! Would definitely choose here again if we're ever back in Jax. Only suggestion I'd have is mounting a small caddy or shelf in the shower for somewhere easy to place toiletries.

Great location. Clean studio works for one or two people. Bathroom a bit too small. Love the idea of the privacy area just outside our door. However it need some loving care. Mildew in the hammock and table and chairs need attention. Wished a washer and dryer were available. But our stay was fine. The studio was great.

Overall the property is really nice there are a few touches that need to be touched up which as the shower head where the ac unit is on the wall needs to be touched up and repainted and a couple pieces of trim but we enjoyed our stay greatly.

Location and place was great but there was no heat ( only a space heater) and we froze at night when it dipped into the 20s.
