Welcome to your lovingly furnished vacation rental in Cuxhaven-Sahlenburg. The newly renovated apartment was used exclusively for private purposes for many years and is now available to vacationers for the first time. Here you’ll find a peaceful retreat for anyone who loves nature and wants to relax far away from the hustle and bustle.
This ground-floor apartment features a spacious balcony and can accommodate up to three people. The entryway features a coat rack and a shoe cabinet. From here, you can access the bathroom as well as the bright living and dining area with direct access to the bedroom.
The bedroom is furnished with a comfortable double bed (180 x 200 cm) and can be comfortably darkened with pleated shades and roller blinds.
A special bonus is the small “nook” in the entryway. It features a single bed (90 x 200 cm), a TV, and a closet. The room has no window and is separated from the hallway by a curtain—not a door. It’s ideal as an additional sleeping space for a child or an adult, or simply as a cozy retreat.
The separate kitchen is fully equipped and features a ceramic cooktop with four burners, an oven, a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, and a small dishwasher. In the living area, comfortable seating and a small reading nook invite you to relax. You’re welcome to take a book with you and leave a book you’ve already read in its place.
In the basement, a washing machine and a dryer (coin-operated) are available for your use. There is also a bicycle storage room. Bicycles can also be conveniently parked in the underground parking space that comes with the apartment.
The perfect location for nature lovers and active vacationers
Sahlenburg is one of Cuxhaven’s most popular neighborhoods. The beach, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site Wadden Sea, and the approximately 315-hectare Wernerwald forest are all nearby and invite you to take long walks, bike rides, or a mudflat hike.
Just a few minutes’ walk away are the Wadden Sea Visitor Center, an outdoor forest swimming pool, a climbing park, and a surfing and kitesurfing school. A guided mudflat hike or a horse-drawn carriage ride to the island of Neuwerk is a special experience—an excursion unique to the North Sea coast.
Sahlenburg also has plenty to offer in terms of cuisine. We highly recommend the restaurant “Zum Finkenmoor,” located just a few houses away. Nestled right in the dunes, the restaurant “Kliff” also invites you to linger with its magnificent view of the Wadden Sea—a perfect spot to watch the kitesurfers at high tide.
