The Space:

The 613-square-foot interior is designed for a small group of up to four, with one bedroom, two beds, and one bath. Air conditioning offers relief after the beach, and the kitchen makes snack time and simple meals easy. WiFi and an in-home washer and dryer help the everyday side of a family trip stay under control.



Guest Access:

Guests at Sugar Beach Resort enjoy access to the shared communal pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills right along the shore in Kihei. The building offers an elevator, disabled parking spot, and accessible-height features for easy access. Beach access and landscaped grounds with a garden round out the on-site amenities.



The Neighborhood:

Sugar Beach is a good address for travelers who like their shoreline time broad, walkable, and uncomplicated. North Kihei puts Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge nearby for a change of scenery, while Maalaea Harbor is a natural choice for a boat outing or the Maui Ocean Center. Drive south for the restaurants, markets, and beach parks of Kihei, including Kamaole Beach Park III. Then come back to a quieter strip of South Maui coast for the evening.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
