This beautiful just remodeled unit at Sugar Beach is located on the top floor overlooking the south Maui bay. With views for miles from the balcony, you'll be able to see sunsets, whales, and miles of sandy beach! Enjoy watching the lazy turtles swimming by from the balcony or go downstairs and enjoy the large swimmable sandy beach right in front of the property. The new remodel will make you feel like you are in your luxury vacation home that you'll want to visit over and over again. This unit features a central AC, cal0king bed in the bedroom, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, and TV's in both the bedroom and living room. Sugar Beach Resort is one of the finest on Maui and includes a heated Pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, putting green, onsite property manager, onsite restaurant/bar, and activities desk. Barbecues are located right next to the beach and are also on site. Want a quick night cocktail or dinner? The on-site boutique restaurant is a great place to relax after a day soaking up rays. The on-site activity desk is ready to schedule your activities or rent you snorkeling gear, stand up paddle boards, any other water gear you want. Luau's are recommended to be booked prior to travel.
Nearby the Maui Ocean center and all that Maalaea has to offer is just a 4 mile drive. This Kihei location is also close to all Kihei, Wailea and Makena have to offer. One of the few beachfront condos in South Maui. Less than 20 minutes to the airport.
The unit is well stocked with kitchen ware and appliances, we also provide:
- beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrella, sorry no snorkeling gear,
- a toiletries starter kit sufficient for short stay,
- a starter kit of laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and kitchen cleaning supplies,
- drip coffeemaker and some coffee to get the trip started
- linens, towels, etc.

The condo was clean, well furnished and offered great views. It was a quiet complex even though it’s large. Great location if you’re wanting to travel to all different parts of the island.

We stayed at this property for 7 days, Dec 7-14th. It was a very short drive from the airport and had free parking on the property. Found the check in email was confusing regarding which building we would be staying in/parking in. Got in late at night and were struggling with our luggage walking around trying to find out which building was “plantation” or “mill” as it’s hard to see at night when pulling in for the first time. Condo itself had great air conditioning, kitchen area and living room. Definitely will need a trip to the grocery store as the starter kit will not last you more than a few days. Unfortunately, we found a cockroach in the bed like 5 minutes after arriving. Kinda made us paranoid the entire stay about keeping our luggage zipped and off the floor to avoid bringing any friends home. We understand it’s the tropics but …. we were not super happy about that day one. Manager was great to set up additional traps to put us at ease. The bed was also so squeaky but really comfortable. Would highly recommend bringing your own beach towels (ones supplied were super small). Never had to fight to get a spot at the pool or beach. The pool and hot tub were perfect!! So clean and well maintained. It may be a Kihei thing but it was so windy on this beach!! Property was central to lots of great restaurants and other beaches. Really enjoyed Dina’s sandwitch shop for a quick lunch. Highly recommend the Kihei cafe for breakfast. Thank you for our first Maui vacation.

We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Beach! Everything you could ask for in a property - amazing views, beachfront, excellent pool and hot tub. The unit even had beach chairs, an umbrella, and a cooler. The beach was never crowded and the water was wonderful. Clean unit, fully equipped kitchen-couldn’t ask for more. We would absolutely return here!

The condo itself is great, clean, comfortable, and had a new modern style interior. The views were amazing from the balcony, and the unit has A/C that kept the room nice and cool. Our only complaint would be the amount of bugs that kept finding their way in through the balcony sliding doors. We understand it's a tropical area and there's an expected amount of bugs that might get in. But, this felt very excessive. We spent more time than we would have liked trying to kill dozens of various insects every day (gnats, mosquitos, earwigs, and one large green beetle). We didn't leave out any food, kept the lights off and blinds closed most of the time, and kept the glass sliding doors closed for 99% of our stay. Yet, everytime we came back to the room, we would have to spend time vacuuming up the bugs and chasing the mosquitos around. They all seemed to come from the right side of the sliding doors (looking from the kitchen), so I slid the screen door over to cover the area a little better and that seemed to help. When I tried calling the property management number to tell them there might be something wrong with the glass door, the agent cut me off saying the bugs are harmless and didn't let me explain how the glass doors must be the issue.
We had a great time on the island, but having to spend that much time/effort cleaning bugs and hoping they didn't find their way into the bed or into our clothes/luggage was a bit of a pain.
