Across the street, Kihei Harbor is a natural starting point for snorkel trips, whale watches in season, and sunset sails. Lifeguarded Kamaole Beach Park III is up the road for a family-friendly beach day, while Wailea offers resort dining, shops, and golf nearby. The pace is sunny and easy, with enough close by to let a couple trade a busy itinerary for a towel, a swim, and one more sunset.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
