About this apartment rental

Summary:

This Sugar Beach Resort condo makes room for the quiet parts of a Maui trip: a cool, air-conditioned break after the beach and a shared-grill dinner when nobody wants to go back out. One bedroom, two beds, and one bath sleep up to four in 613 square feet, with a kitchen and garden view for a grounded, easygoing setting. The beach, shared pool, and hot tub keep the day close to home, while Maalaea Harbor or South Kihei are there when you want an outing. Choose Kamaole Beach Park III for a livelier beach afternoon, then return to North Kihei’s more relaxed shoreline. A small family will find this a very usable base for a week in South Maui.

The Space:

Garden views bring a quieter backdrop to this one-bedroom condo for up to four guests. The 613-square-foot interior has two beds, one bath, air conditioning, and a kitchen for meals at home. It is a comfortable space to come back to after the beach, with enough room for the family to change, snack, and plan the next part of the day.

Guest Access:

Guests at Sugar Beach Resort enjoy access to the shared communal pool, hot tub, and BBQ grills right along the shore in Kihei. The building offers an elevator, disabled parking spot, and accessible-height features for easy access. Beach access and landscaped grounds with a garden round out the on-site amenities.

The Neighborhood:

North Kihei is a good match for travelers who like a beach that feels open and unhurried. Start with Sugar Beach, then mix in Kealia Pond National Wildlife Refuge for a different kind of Maui morning. Maalaea Harbor is nearby for a boat trip or the Maui Ocean Center. For more restaurants, markets, and beach-park activity, drive south to Kihei and Kamaole Beach Park III. The neighborhood gives you a calm landing spot with plenty within reach.

Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.

Interaction with Guests:

Our local Heavenly Vacations Maui team is just a call or message away throughout your stay. As islanders who know Maui well, we love sharing our favorite beaches, local grinds, and hidden gems, and we are here to help right away should any issue arise. We respect your privacy and are here whenever you need us.

Loved the location! Easy access to main roads to get to where you need to go and the beach is literally steps away. The Sand Witch shop is a must. Very sweet place. Didn’t love: -You HAVE to be very self-sufficient when staying here. For example, getting ahold of an agent or owner was frustrating as the response was not within 24 hours, you have to wait to speak to an agent (not ideal when you need immediate assistance) and I don’t think they’re local so they weren’t super helpful. -Checking in caused anxiety because we got there when their front office was closed. When we called the number, we had to wait for an agent so my impatience kicked in and we walked around the property until we found the place. We were worried about not having a parking pass, but gratefully we weren’t towed or ticketed. -Front office: We couldn’t use the pool the night we arrived because you need a code that the front office gives you, but we were able to check-in the next morning. -We had concerns about the bathroom ceiling but that didn’t get resolved during our stay.
