About this apartment rental
Leave the car parked and let Kailua Village do the work. From this two-bedroom, two-bath Kona Plaza condo, walk to beaches, breakfast, shops, and dinner, then come back to a covered lanai with a peek of the Pacific. The home sleeps four and has air conditioning, a full kitchen, and a washer and dryer, which helps when a beach day runs long. Inside, the open living room offers a comfortable place to regroup before heading out again. Two shared decks add grills and Pacific views for an easy meal close to home. Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park is less than four miles away for a different kind of Big Island outing. This is a practical choice for a family or two couples who would rather walk into Kona's evening than drive there.
The Space:
Sliding doors connect the open living space with a private covered lanai and peekaboo ocean views. Two bedrooms and two baths sleep four, while air conditioning and a washer and dryer support an easy beach routine. The full kitchen is ready for meals at home, and the single-level layout has elevator access. A sectional and TV create a comfortable place to land after a day in town.
Guest Access:
Guests at Kona Plaza have elevator access, a private entrance, and a lit path to the door for easy evening arrivals. The condo is a short walk from the beach and nearby shopping, and disabled parking is available on site. Please note that the shared pool is currently closed until further notice.
The Neighborhood:
Kona Plaza is in the center of Kailua Village, where a beach stop, a coffee run, and dinner can happen on foot. Kailua Pier and the waterfront are close for an evening walk, while nearby Honl's Beach offers a simple place to put down a towel. South of town, Kahalu'u Beach Park is a popular reef-snorkeling stop, and Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park is less than four miles away. The location is especially helpful for guests who want a car-light Kona stay.
Getting Around:
Kona International Airport is about 10 to 15 minutes away, making arrival simple. A rental car is recommended so you can explore the Kona Coast at your own pace. Downtown Kailua-Kona's shops, restaurants, and oceanfront Ali'i Drive are often within walking distance or a short drive, with beaches, snorkeling spots, and grocery stores close by. Parking is generally available on site or nearby, whether street or lot.
Other Things to Note:
The building does not have heat, which is rarely needed with Hawaii's mild nighttime temperatures. The pool is closed until further notice. The shared pool is unheated. This property is managed by Heavenly Vacations.
