The Castelo de São Jorge neighborhood is located right in the city's historic center, but with the advantage of being situated on a hill away from the main commercial area, making it a quiet zone, allowing you to relax in comfort. Also, being situated on a hill, it offers numerous viewpoints with splendid views over the city and the Tagus River, not only from inside the apartment but all around. Two free panoramic elevators have been created, bringing you from the city center practically to the apartment's doorstep. This second elevator also has an excellent supermarket and a private parking garage open 24 hours a day on the first floor. There is an extensive public transportation network throughout the Castelo neighborhood. There are two metro stations, each a 5-minute walk from the apartment. The Rossio station belongs to the green line and the Baixa-Chiado station belongs to the blue line. A 10-minute walk away is the Sintra line train station. A 20-minute walk away is the Cais do Sodré train station which leads to the beaches of the Cascais line. Opposite this is another ferry station that takes you to the other side of the river where the fantastic beaches of Costa da Caparica are located. Also, a 3-minute walk from the Apartment in Praça da Figueira and Praça do Comércio, there is a vast network of buses and trams that take you to any part of the city.
