Homestay Wolokoro

The property is in a very small village immersed in nature and managed by Elsa, the most gracious host who took good care of us. It’s quiet and peaceful on the way to Bajawa. Thanks Olin as well for the delicious meals and breakfast. I strongly recommend this stay.

Fantastic location with a beautiful view of the volcano, off the beaten path, so traffic isn't a bother. A super-friendly owner, and good, hearty meals made to order. A very cozy dining room with a terrace offering a beautiful view.

I would have been quite delighted with this place, if it weren’t for the room where we had to sleep. In fact, it wasn’t even a real room, but a cubicle partitioned off from what used to be a hallway. The bed took up almost the entire cubicle, making it difficult for two people to pass each other in the room. The cubicle wasn’t even fully separated from the hallway and the bathroom - the thin wooden walls didn’t fit together properly, and when the sliding door to the house was opened... they slid into our “room.” As if that weren’t enough, right below the house, pigs were making a terrible racket! All in all: a beautiful location, a great hostess, but a terrible place to sleep (unless you are lucky to get a better room).
