Hotel LiVEMAX Tottori GRANDE

I had a pretty nice stay in this hotel, probably because of the fact, that it was not very busy. I shared one row of capsules (maybe 10) with 3 or 4 other people, so it was not too noisy, even in the night. The hotel and especially the facilities are VERY clean, but I guess it depends on the guests too to keep it that way. The check in and check out were very easy and the staff was really nice. What I didn't like though was the pillow, which was way too hard, but I guess it's not that bad, if you only stay for one night or two. I also found it a little bit hard to climb in and out of my cabin.

There’s a public bath upstairs and since you’re obliged to pay for it whether you use it or not, might as well take a chance to use it. Everything’s provided so it’s really convenient and recommended!

The Good: The hotel itself is fundamentally great with fantastic value for money. The location is excellent, and the onsen was wonderful. I stayed in the women-only capsule room and it was super! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. ​The Bad: Unfortunately, the service was a complete failure, especially regarding luggage forwarding (Takuhaibin), which is standard service in Japan. The front desk staff were completely unhelpful, uninformed, and showed no interest in assisting. Despite the hotel advertising English-speaking staff online, the staff was unable to communicate in basic English (confusing "airport" with "station"). ​I was given incorrect information, brushed off at 1 AM by a staff member claiming to be "new" without offering any solution, and lost valuable vacation time. To make matters worse, that same staff member literally laughed at me/mocked me the next morning when I was struggling with the situation. This level of disrespect toward a guest is completely unacceptable. ​In the end, I had to carry my heavy luggage directly to a Yamato branch to solve the issue myself. If you need any basic service or assistance from the front desk, look elsewhere. ​部屋、立地、設備は良いが、不快で無責任な接客対応 ​良かった点： ホテル自体は基本的・全体的に素晴らしく、コスパも最高です。立地も良く、温泉も最高でした。女性専用のカプセルルームに宿泊しましたが、とても清潔で居心地が良く、本当に快適でした。 ​悪かった点： 一方で、フロントのサービス対応は酷いものでした。特に日本のホテルでは一般的である荷物発送（宅急便）の手続きにおいて、スタッフの知識不足と無責任な対応が目立ちました。公式ウェブサイトには「英語対応可」と記載されているにもかかわらず、基本的な英語のコミュニケーションすら成立しませんでした（「空港」と「駅」を間違えるなど）。 ​深夜1時に「新人だから」という理由で何のアドバイスもなく対応を拒否され、貴重な観光時間を無駄にされました。さらに最悪だったのは、その同じスタッフが翌朝、困っている私を見てバカにするように笑ってきたことです。客に対するこのような態度はあまりにも失礼で、信じられません。 ​最終的には自分でヤマト運輸の営業所まで重い荷物を運んで手続きをする羽目になりました。フロントでの最低限のサポートやサービスを期待される方は、別のホテルを探すことを強くおすすめします。
