Apollino Lindos

Our stay at Appolino Lindos was just perfect. My only regret is not having stayed longer. We were informed to park close to St Paul's beach (mandatory: the entire village is pedestrian; parking is 7€ per 24 hours) and take a free golf cart ride to Melia (super short, one could easily walk). Apostolis, the lovely owner, met us there and showed us to the perfect, brand new room that is Appolinos. I believe the name is because they also own the amazing Lindian Appolo Bar; more on this later. The room is spacious, with a large bed, minibar with complimentary (!) drinks: still and sparkling water, prosecco, and beer. The attached bathroom was spotless. AC was super efficient and very quiet. In terms of location, Appolino is ideally situated. Close to everything yet very quiet, which is not given in such a touristy place. I loved walking to the lovely St Paul Beach, which is very nice, with shady spots under trees, and the walk there is like 5-10 minutes. Apostolis was kind enough to invite us for a welcome cocktail later at his Appolo Bar. What a treat that was! Not only are their cocktails absolutely fabulous and imaginative, but the view on the acropolis from the rooftop is amazing. Apostolis suggeted Mavrikos for dinner afterwards, and it proved a great recommendation. Finally, Appolo Bar is where the breakfast (included in the price) was served. It was excellent, and honestly more of a full meal than a mere breakfast. All in all, one of my best experiences in many years picking places on booking.
