Facilities were great. The milk and herbal teas provided were superb and it was very well secure with nice surrounding scenery and decorative design.

We had a brilliant stay at Blackthorn & Rose Shepherds Huts. Our host Lorna was so welcoming and gave us great advice on local food options and places to visit, She was also very flexible with our late check‑in time, which we really appreciated! The hut was spotless, had everything we needed in the kitchenette for breakfast, and had plenty of room for storing bags etc. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had everything we needed including a great shower. We stayed over a warm weekend and loved being able to enjoy breakfast outside on the furniture provided and the fan provided in the hut was great and along with the easy to use heating settings meant that we were able to keep the space perfectly cool. The whole stay was peaceful, and were able to enjoy an early morning walk down to the lake — it’s about 15 minutes away and well worth it. The hut itself is beautifully furnished and thoughtfully laid out - from the position of the TV and charging outlets, coffee/milk/water provided... and our highland cow doorstop :) it all made our stay comfortable and feel special! Overall we had a fantastic weekend staying here and we'll definitely be back!
