    Our first night was extremely disappointing. We arrived late for check-in and the room had a very strong smell of cigarette smoke and was not properly clean. There was visible dirt in the room, which made the experience even worse, especially after a long journey. To be fair, the following day the hotel changed our room, and the reception staff were kind and helpful afterwards. I appreciate that they tried to solve the problem. However, I contacted the hotel directly to request a refund for the first night, as the room was not in an acceptable condition. Unfortunately, I never received a response to my request, despite following up more than once. The hotel may have some positive aspects, but the experience of the first night and, especially, the lack of response afterwards were very disappointing. I would expect a hotel to take responsibility when a guest has such an issue.
