When I arrived, the owner met me to show me the flat and share information about the local area. They were incredibly helpful throughout my stay and always quick to answer any questions I had.

Was a bit hard to find at first.

I cannot comment on the interior of the apartment because, after seeing the access and surrounding area, I decided not to even enter. The apartment itself may well be very nice inside, but that is not the point of this review. I had booked this accommodation for one adult and two children, aged 6 and 12. On arrival, I was extremely disappointed to discover that the entrance to our apartment was at the back of the building, through an area that looked unfinished and, in places, more like a construction/service area than the entrance to tourist accommodation. There were building materials and debris lying immediately next to the accommodation, exposed air-conditioning units and unfinished external areas. More importantly, access to the upper apartment was via an external metal spiral staircase. When accepting a booking that includes two children, I believe something as significant as this should be made absolutely clear before the booking is made, preferably with photographs showing the actual access. What concerned me even more was that I arrived during daylight. Even then, walking around to the rear of the building with two children and seeing this environment did not make me feel comfortable or safe enough to continue. I can only imagine how I would have felt arriving there for the first time at night. Again, I am not judging the interior because I never entered the apartment. It may have been excellent inside. My criticism is about the access, the external condition of the property and, above all, the lack of clear information before booking. Guests — particularly families travelling with children — should be shown and informed clearly about these conditions before they make their decision. Had I known in advance what the actual access and surroundings looked like, I would simply never have made the booking.
