Dimora Marcella

the location is great. it is close to the restaurants and beach at the old town, but also reachable to the train station (for trips to bari, polignano amare) in less than 10 minutes by foot. laundry, cooking is not an issue. laundry service is available 200m away and you can even dry in the balcony as the room has a hanging rack. the kitchen is more than adequately sized. moreover the host and her husband were great hosts. they ensured we got to our hotel from the bus station, and were flexible in meeting our check out and luggage storage needs. they were responsive via whatsapp too.

nothing, this is really good value for money, and the hosts are lovely. only issue was how my partner and i wanted one more night of stay but unfortunately this room was already taken for that additional night!

Dimorphism Marcella is a very comfortable second floor apartment for two on the edge of the old town, centro historico, and Marcella and Martino are very responsive and helpful hosts. Nearby are many restaurants and cafés, and it is an easy walk to the supermarket and regular shops such as fishmongers, greengrocers, fruiterers and bakers. If you fancy cooking at home, which we did, because the local fish and seafood is spectacular, you will find the kitchen is small but well equipped with an induction hob, oven and dishwasher. We enjoyed aperativi on the small balcony, just fine for two people, most evenings. The street can be noisy until late, which can made sleeping with the balcony doors open a little tricky until we were settled in. Closing the balcony doors made it too warm and stuffy, but air conditioning unit in the bedroom quickly helps with that, and it will cool both the bedroom and the living room if needed. All in all a great base from which to explore Monopoli.

Not an issue for me, but very steep steps to get to the appartment that could be an issue for people with mobility issues

Great location - 10 mins walk from Station, close to a big square & less than 5 minutes to Port/heart of old Town. Clean and amenities great. Very good comms on WhatsApp with Agent. Only in Italian but easy to use google translate!

The only reason I didn't give score of 10 was the 40ish steps to get to 2nd floor. But not difficult to walk up & down even for a 62 yr old with a case! - just wanted to put so you're aware.
