Owl box

Location was amazing with a great view. Comfortable bed. Great hot shower. We stopped as part of a bicycle ride and it was just what we needed.

Kitchen appliances/crockery could have been cleaner.

Nice quiet location. Lovely hosts

Fantastic location . Beautiful views and lovely owners. Had all the facilities you could want and good kitchen

It could really do with a deep clean. There are spider webs and spiders everywhere, the floors need a good clean. The drawers are dirty and the bathroom needs a deep clean.

Absolutely beautiful location. The photos don’t give the place justice. It’s remote but the owners are at the farm further down the drive should you need them. Its quirky nature was appealing to us and it contained pretty much everything we needed for a two night stay. It was the perfect place for our dog who could safely roam around outside. The Yorkshire Wolds Way is literally on the doorstep. The plumbing is great. Good water pressure in the shower. The bedroom decor is pretty.

It’s only a minor criticism regarding cleanliness. I’m not a clean freak but a little bit more attention to detail could be made in advance of guests arriving. I wiped over some of the kitchen surfaces and appliances just after arriving. It wasn’t anywhere close to dirty (as one review stated). The Welsh Dresser in the kitchen is slightly unbalanced so it rattles every time you walk near it. Can I suggest providing a salt and pepper set for guests like us who forgot to bring any? The fridge is quite small which is fine if you plan to eat out or are there for a short stay.
